Our Story

Lynn McCarthy, Owner and Chef, has been cooking since age five.  Her Italian heritage allowed her an early exposure to making everything ‘from scratch’ - and her love of food was born.  Raised in the Washington D.C. area, Lynn has cooked on both coasts and had a successful restaurant/cooking school/wholesale foods/catering business in Sun Valley, Idaho before returning to the Bay Area.  Here in Sonoma County, Lynn enjoys continual inspiration being so close to the origins of wonderful produce, food & wine.   Her client list includes corporate clients, non-profit charity organizations, film and rock stars. Lynn’s extensive experience includes a wide variety of events and styles of service.  Sizes range from luxe lunch for two, sit down plated dinners for 350 people, street parties and concerts for 5,000-15,000.

Our experienced professionals can provide any level of support for any event.  From turnkey formal galas for several hundred to simple custom take away picnic lunches, we take care of all the details.  Cottonwood prides itself on customizing menus and decor to each client’s needs, budget, event type, and personal style.
